STARS Appoints Amy Bidwell as Executive Director

The STARS Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Amy Bidwell as the organization’s Permanent Executive Director, effective immediately. Bidwell had been serving as the Interim Executive Director since October 7. During this period, she provided leadership and guidance through a critical transition for the organization.

Kathy Miller, Chair of the Board at STARS, expressed confidence in Bidwell’s ability to lead the organization moving forward. Bidwell’s previous experience includes serving as the Manager of Midland City Dial-a-Ride. Additionally, she worked as the CFO and Deputy Director of STARS before stepping into the Interim Executive Director role. In her new position, Bidwell will oversee the organization’s continued efforts in providing transportation services in Saginaw County. She will work closely with the board, staff, and stakeholders to build on the progress made during her interim tenure.

Bidwell emphasized her commitment to further advancing STARS’ mission and impact in the community. The appointment is expected to provide stability and a clear direction for the organization in the coming years.
