Spaulding Township Man Shot in Broad Daylight

Saginaw County sheriff’s deputies say one man was taken to the hospital following an afternoon shooting Friday, March 11.

Deputies were dispatched to the 1900 block of Elsie St. in Spaulding Township around 3:15 p.m., making contact with a 55-year-old man who was shot in the leg. The man said he was on the porch of his home with another 55-year-old man when two gunmen wearing all black approached them. Both men say words were exchanged before the gunmen opened fire.

The witness was able to get into the house to call police and was not injured. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition. The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 989 790-5404.
