Shepherd student made threat over social media – facing possible charges

Police in Shepherd have determined that there is no threat to the public after a worrying social media post was reported to school administrators on Friday.

The Shepherd Police Department stated that at around 7:00 Friday morning, a student notified Shepherd High School administration of a post on social media about violence toward the school. Within 5 minutes, police were at the home of the student who posted the message, and after meeting with both the student and their parents, police determined the threat to be not credible.
