Two men charged with plotting to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will have a second trial on Aug. 9. A jury deadlocked on a verdict for Adam Fox and Barry Croft Jr. in April, in a trial where Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta were acquitted.
Investigators described Fox and Croft as leaders of the plan to kidnap Whitmer at her vacation home in 2020. Prosecutors said the group was angry over pandemic restrictions and were anti government extremists.
