Sebewaing Man Arrested by FBI for Allegedly Possessing Guns Illegally and Making Threats

A man from Sebewaing was arrested by the FBI for allegedly owning guns illegally and threatening to kill government officials.

According to the Department of Justice, 30-year-old Randall Robert Barka was arrested on Thursday after a complaint by a relative who had previously purchased 4 guns for him, but who had become scared of Barka.

The complaint stated that Barka owned the guns as well as ammunition and body armor after having been committed to a mental institution, and while he was a daily marijuana user. Barka also allegedly made posts to YouTube that included various threats against the lgbt community and politicians, specifically naming President Biden and Governor Whitmer.

If convicted, Barka could face up to 15 years in prison.
