Scrap Metal Facility in Buena Vista Township Catches Fire

A fire broke out Thursday, July 21 at Georgetown Logistics-Flint Recycling–a scrap metal dealer on North Towerline Road in Buena Vista Township.
Smoke billowing from the site could be seen from miles away. The cause of the fire is unknown, though high heat and wind may have played a role in fanning the flames. No injuries were reported.
The Buena Vista Fire Department was assisted by Blumfield, Bridgeport and Frankenmuth Fire Departments.
