Saginaw’s First Recreational Marijuana Store Now Open

A marijuana store opened August 31 in Saginaw in the city of Saginaw. Lume Cannabis, the largest single-state adult-use operator in the United States, opened its 23rd Michigan store at 3446 State. Hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 9 :00 p.m. on Sundays. Lume Cannabis has opened 10 adult-use stores so far this year and plans a dozen more by the end of the year, with the goal of 100 stores in Michigan by 2024.

Another Michigan chain, Skymint Cannabis is building a store on Gratiot in Saginaw, at the former location of Zorba’a Restaurant. The Saginaw City Council passed ordinances allowing marijuana businesses in the city a year ago. Michigan voters passed a proposal legalizing adult-use marijuana in 2018.
