Saginaw Township Police Gather For Awards Ceremony And Memorial Service

The Saginaw Township Police Department’s annual Awards Program and Memorial Service, held this week, dates back at least two decades and coincides with the annual Police Memorial Week observed nationwide. Township Police Chief Don Pussehl said special recognition went to Officer Justin Severs, selected by his peers in conjunction with the Saginaw Exchange Club as Officer of the Year. Pussehl called Severs very dedicated to his job.

A Lifetime Meritorious Service Award went to Sgt. John Sadowski, who recently retired after 25 years with the department. In all, 18 officers and a civilian received awards during the ceremony.
