Saginaw school board trustees unanimously adopted a new budget Wednesday, June 26 for the 2019-2020 school year, including a general fund of about $53 million.

Superintendent Ramont Roberts says officials project a loss of 300 students, which they hope to reverse in part through a summer publicity campaign. Roberts added the budget fully restores past wage concessions to employees while establishing  a new and more challenging curriculum for students in an effort to improve classroom performance.
