Saginaw Fire Department Crews Train on new Truck 1 (Saginaw FD)
The Saginaw Fire Department has unveiled the newest addition to its fleet. The new Rosenbauer Cobra aerial ladder truck will be taking over as Truck 1 for the department, thanks to a nearly $1.3 million allocation from the City of Saginaw’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
The department released images of crews training on the new equipment, which they say brings upgraded technology and other improvements over the aging aerial device it is replacing. Officials say the new vehicle will help firefighters better serve the city and surrounding communities once it officially goes into service.
