Saginaw County Hazard Mitigation Plan Survey Available

The Saginaw County Office of Emergency Management is currently updating the Saginaw County Hazard Mitigation Plan.

This plan is updated every five years and is required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency for Saginaw County jurisdictions to qualify for certain Federal Disaster Grants. The intent of the plan and the planning process is to identify and rank hazards to which Saginaw County is susceptible. Once identified, Saginaw County and its local jurisdictions can identify possible mitigation strategies that may reduce the impact of future incidents on people, property and the environment. To assist with the update process, the Office of Emergency Management is asking people who live, work or attend school in Saginaw County to complete a brief survey.

The survey and additional information can be found at saginawcounty.com/emhsd. The survey deadline is October 7.
