Saginaw County Animal Care & Control is taking part in the Bissell Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelters” National Event on Saturday. That means the adoption fee for all dogs and cats is $25.00. All animals are spayed and neutered, up-to-date with vaccinations and micro-chipped.

Pre-approval is requested and you can complete an adoption application online:

You should write “Empty the Shelter” on the application and include your date of birth and phone number. Pre-approved applications will allow entrance to the event.  A “meet and greet” is required with existing family dogs, so if you have a dog already, you must bring it to the event to meet your potential new pet.

To complete an adoption, you must be over 18 and have a valid driver’s license or State ID. Dog adoptions require the purchase of a license for $12.00. The service is available on site.
