Saginaw Chippewa Tribe to Distribute Gaming Funds to Local Municipalities, Schools
The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe is hosting its semi-annual two percent distribution Tuesday in Arenac County and on Wednesday in Isabella County.
The tribe is dispersing funds to qualifying local units of government and public schools derived from Class III gaming at its properties Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, and Saganing Eagles Landing Casino and Hotel. The distribution cycle saw just over 250 individual requests totaling more than $9 million. The tribe plans to distribute a combined $3.25 million during this spring’s distribution ceremonies.
The Arenac and Northern Bay County distribution will take place at 1:30 P.M. at the Saganing Tribal Center located at 5447 Sturman Road in Standish, while the Isabella County distribution takes place at 10:00 A.M. in the Black Elk Building located at 7500 Soaring Eagle Boulevard in Mount Pleasant.
