Saginaw Arts and Enrichment Commission Announce Staff Changes

The Saginaw Arts and Enrichment Commission has a new Executive Director.

Nancy Koepke

Marsha Braun will be filling tht position following the retirement of current director Nancy Koepke. For more than 30 years, Koepke provided leadership and direction moving the organization forward with new programming and initiatives, including the Visiting Artist Residency in area schools and numerous opportunities for adults and youth to display their art. She has been instrumental in securing long-term financial stability, guaranteeing commission programming and services will continue for years to come.

Braun has been the Director of Marketing for the Enrichment Commission since 2007 where she was responsible for developing and implementing programs which foster the goals of the commission’s strategic plan, coordinating the ArtReach and Michigan Arts & Culture Council (MACC) Region 5 Regional Regranting program, and for community outreach with diverse constituencies, organizations and individuals.

Thomas Brubaker

Thomas Brubaker has been hired as Director of Community Engagement. He will plan and coordinate special events, manage marketing and development efforts, cultivate volunteer support, and assist the executive director with grant management and building donor relationships.

Brubaker’s qualifications come from extensive experience with non-profits including United Way of Saginaw County and Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center where he was responsible for program development and event coordination, media relations, community outreach, fundraising and volunteer management. He is an avid community volunteer for Positive Results Downtown Saginaw, PFLAG, Downtown Saginaw Association and others.
