Saginaw Art Museum Joining Forces With LA Based True Connection

The Saginaw Art Museum will partner with Los Angeles-based True Connection to help implement the non-profit’s social and emotional learning program geared toward nine to 13 year olds.

True Connection founder Nadine Heimann says the curriculum utilizes art as part of  character development for the students.

Heimann added True Connection has been successful in poor areas of Los Angeles and elsewhere nation-wide plus overseas in parts of Africa and Honduras since starting in 2009.

Local school systems and human service agencies are being sought as additional partners.

There’s also the potential to expand to include high school and college students.

To learn more, contact the Saginaw Art Museum which will host training sessions for potential True Connection instructors beginning later this year.
