Saginaw Animal Control Shut Down

The Saginaw County Animal Control Center is closed after two dogs tested for parvovirus.
The dogs, which were taken in by the shelter as strays, were given emergency vet care but neither survived. Following veterinary recommendations, the center closed for decontamination and monitoring other animals at the facility.
The animals will remain in quarantine for a minimum of 14 days.
