Road Worker Killed In Isabella County Construction Zone Crash

A 47-year-old Mount Pleasant man was killed after being hit by a Ford Bronco in a construction zone on US-127 last Friday.
Police say a 66-year-old Detroit man was driving the vehicle in the north bound lanes in Union Township at 9:38 a.m. when he left the driving lane and entered the work zone, striking and killing the construction worker. Police are working to determine why the Bronco driver, who was not injured, entered the work zone.
The crash remains under investigation.
