Reward Offered In Burton Homicide

Police in Burton continue to investigate a homicide that occurred July 19.
48-year-old Thomas Phifer was shot to death in the parking lot of the Ten Eleven convenience store in the 3200 block of Lippencott Boulevard some time after noon. Police say surveillance video shows the victim in an altercation with the suspect, who then fled the scene heading west toward Dort Highway.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Burton Police Department, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL. Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest of the suspect.
