Residents Evacuated from Pinconning House Fire

Fire officials in Pinconning are investigating a Tuesday night house fire.

The fire occurred around 8:00 p.n. in the area of Fifth and Van Etten streets. The occupants of the home were safely evacuated, though two people were taken to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. Extensive smoke damage went throughout the house, making it unlivable.

Crews from Pinconning, Mount Forest, Kawkawlin and Garfield Township responded to the scene. A cause of the fire has not been determined.
