Recount Requested in Saginaw Township Treasurer Race

A close election race in Saginaw Township has prompted a recount.
The Democratic candidate running for Saginaw Township Treasurer, James Wickman, received 11,779 votes over Republican candidate Steven G. Gerhardt with 11,764, a difference of only 14 votes. The recount was announced last Friday at Gerhardt’s request. The recount will take place December 9.
