Public Hearing on DTE Electric’s Proposed Rate Increase

The Michigan Public Service Commission will hold a public hearing on DTE Electric Company’s rate increase request on September 18th. The hearing will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mumford High School in Detroit. MPSC Chair, Dan Scripps and Commissioners will be present to hear comments from DTE customers and the public is welcome to attend. The proposed rate increase is approximately $456.4 million. The hearing is in-person only, and all comments will be recorded in the case docket. MPSC Staff also will be at the hearing to provide educational materials about utility regulation. Mumford High School is located at 17525 Wyoming Avenue in Northwest Detroit.
