Progressive Mechanical Expands with New Bay County Location
Progressive Mechanical, a veteran-owned business, is expanding into a 42,000-square-foot industrial building in Monitor Township. The new location at 4684 Fraser Road, formerly a wood fabricating shop, will serve as a satellite facility for the company, which specializes in mechanical processing systems and fire protection. The $2.5 million expansion comes after a 240% revenue growth over the past two years.
Brooke Pulice, the company’s Social Media Manager, says Progressive Mechanical, founded in 2006, has grown from one site in Clawson to four locations, including Bay County. The new plant is expected to create 25 union jobs, according to Jim Reaume, President of Bay Future. The company recently secured contracts with major clients like GM, DTE, and Ford, driving the need for additional space.
Monitor Township Supervisor Terry Spencer welcomed the expansion, noting the positive economic impact and the revitalization of a vacant building. The township continues to see growth as Progressive Mechanical increases its workforce and contributes to the local business community.
