President Biden to Visit Bay City Area

President Joe Biden will be in the Bay City area next week where he’s expected to tour a silicon chip manufacturing facility.
The president is expected to discuss the nation’s manufacturing progress while visiting SK Siltron CSS, a manufacturer of specialty wafers made of silicon carbide that can be used in electric vehicles to allow a more efficient transfer of electricity from the battery to the motor. The company has invested 300 million dollars into the Monitor Township facility, which officially opened. Biden will likely tout the CHIPS and Sciences Act and investments in the auto industry as it transistions to electric vehicles.
A time for the tour has not been made available.
