Power Outage Affects Over 6,000 in Saginaw Township

A large power outage is reported in Saginaw Township was affecting 6,464 customers as of noon Friday. Consumers Energy said a squirrel got into a substation, causing the outage

The area affected is south of Schust Rd., extending to south of State and both east and west of Center Rd. Consumers has assigned crews to work on the outage, which happened at 10:51 a.m.. The estimated time for power restoration has been moved up to 4:00 p.m.
