Police Recover Ammunition, Explosive Device from Tuscola County Felon

A known felon in Tuscola County is accused of having ammunition and explosive ordinance.

Police were sent to home on South Kingston Road in Koylton Township just before 7:00 P.M. on Saturday following reports a man was moving firearms from his house after a house fire. The man gave consent to search the home, according to police, who say they discovered hundreds of rounds of ammunition, plus a large shell.

The state police bomb squad was called in and confirmed it was a 40 millimeter round with a threaded fuse tip, which was seized as evidence. The suspect was released pending a decision from the county probation department.
