Police Investigating Saginaw Township Shooting

Saginaw Township Police are investigating a shooting which occurred Thursday, August 1 in the area of Center Rd. and Joyce.

Several 9-1-1 calls were made around 5:30 a.m. about shots fired. An officer in the area was able to respond within a minute of the reports. The officer found a 19-year-old Saginaw Township man lying in the road with a gunshot wound to his chest. He underwent surgery at a local hospital and is expected to survive.
