Police Investigating Body Found in Saginaw River

The Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the body of a man discovered in the Saginaw River Monday afternoon.
Police say the body is that of 68-year-old Paul Edward Brown of Saginaw. Brown’s body was discovered by fishermen around 1:10 P.M., who called 9-1-1 to report the incident. A marine patrol boat already in the area was dispatched to an area south of SVRC Marketplace, between I-675 and the train bridge. According to a medical examiner, Brown’s body was in the water for about 50 hours.
Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
