Emergency personnel responded to a crash in Saginaw County’s Maple Grove Township yesterday morning that left one person injured. The collision occurred around 8:00 a.m. when a 45-year-old man driving a Chevy Impala south on Gaspar Road failed to stop at the intersection with Peet Road. The Impala was struck on the driver’s side by a Chrysler Town and Country minivan, driven by a 60-year-old woman traveling west. The man suffered a broken leg and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The woman, although uninjured, was also transported to a hospital for evaluation. Two children in the minivan were not hurt in the incident. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
