Officer Involved Shooting In Durand Under Investigation

A shooting involving an officer in the city of Durand in Shiawassee County is under investigation.
According to police, a Shiawassee County sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on Saturday near the 700 block of Oak Street when some kind of gunfire exchange took place. A suspect was killed by the deputy.
The Michigan State Police Third District are investigating the incident. No other details have been provided.
