Mt. Morris Man Pleads Guilty In Sexual Assault of Teen
A man who recently pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl may have additional victims, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department.
36-year-old Gregory Nieman of Mount Morris pleaded guilty to three counts each of first and third degree criminal sexual conduct, plus failing to register as a sex offender. Nieman met the girl through a family connection and spent several months grooming her with alcohol and CBD gummies. Prosecutors say the two would meet at an abandoned area where Nieman would assault her and record the incidents, intending to make money from them. It was only after the girl was admitted to a pediatric emergency room at Hurley Medical Center where hospital staff noticed red flags that an investigation was launched. Nieman could spend between 10 to 15 years in prison.
Sheriff Chris Swanson is encouraging anyone else who may be a victim of Nieman’s to come forward by calling 810-257-3426.
