Moolenaar Holds Seat in Congressional Primary

Congressman John Moolenaar retains his seat in the GOP primary for the Second Michigan Congressional District.

Moolenaar defeated challenger Thomas Norton with 65 percent of the vote. He will go on to face Democratic challenger Jerry Hilliard of Mt. Pleasant in the November general election. Hilliard ran aganst Moolenaar in both 2018 and 2020.

In the Republican primary for the Eighth District, Paul Junge has defeated Matthew Seely and Candace Miller with 53 percent of the vote. Junge will face Democratic incumbent Dan Kildee in November.
