Minor Oil Spill on Flint River

Flint residents concerned over a minor oil spill on the Flint River need not worry, according to city officials.

The spill, detected Monday in the 1400 block of James P. Cole Boulevard, does not affect the city’s drinking water as the water is not drawn from the river. About 50 gallons of oil were spilled from an unknown source, though clean up crews were able to stop the flow of contaminants.
