Business and community leaders celebrated the opening of the new security gatehouse to the Michigan Operations I-Park, Friday, June 21.

The 5,500 square foot structure stands as the entrance to the park on Saginaw Rd., just south of Bay City Rd. Dedicated to the late architect Alden B, Dow, the building features design elements of Dow’s throughout.

Built by the Three Rivers Corporation, the project took about two years to complete, from design to finish, beginning when Dow Chemical asked the city of Midland to vacate the portion of Saginaw Rd. which wound its way through the property.

Six companies currently operate with the 2,600 acre complex: Dow, Corteva Agriscience, the Cabot Corporation, SK Saran Americas, Trinseo and DuPont.
