Midland Holds State of the City Address

On Tuesday, city of Midland officials recognized  accomplishments from last year, areas for improvement, and announced the agenda of goals for 2024 in the annual State of the City address.

The address consisted of updates from Spence Brothers, Isabella Bank and the Midland Business Alliance, as well as with Mayor Maureen Donker providing an overview of 2023 and what to look forward to this year. City Manager Brad Kaye also shared the main objective, on how the community is being heard and residents concerns will be addressed.

Issues facing the city include the need for affordable housing, attracting and retaining talent to the area and improving the infrastructure of main roads, while working with the small businesses affected during the time of construction.
