Midland Firefighter of the Year Announced

Fire Truck Operator max Kopplin (Midland Fire Department)
The Midland Fire Department has announced this year’s Ester and Carl Gerstacker Firefighter of the Year.
Fire Truck Operator Max Kopplin was selected for the award after being nominated by fellow department members and Fire Chief Joshua Mosher. Kopplin joined the Midland Fire Department in 2013, and was promoted to Fire Truck Operator and Acting Lieutenant in 2021. He works to maintain the department’s Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus and is involved with the department’s Standard Operating Procedures committee and social media team.
Kopplin also works with the Midland Firefighters Youth Foundation.
