Midland County Man Pleads No Contest to Sending Sexual Messages to Teens

A former middle school track coach for Bullock Creek Public Schools in Midland County will be sentenced in August after pleading no contest to crimes against children.

31-year-old Travis O’Keefe is charged with using a computer/internet to communicate with a minor child to commit a crime and accosting a child for immoral purposes for allegedly sending sexually explicit text and Snap Chat messages to at least two teen girls. The investigation began last summer after a 15-year-old student athlete reported receiving inappropriate messages from O’Keefe. Police also discovered the suspect was communicating with a 14-year-old for several months with sexually explicit messages as well.

O’Keefe’s bond has been revoked following his plea.
