City of Midland Holds Ribbon Cutting at Midland City Hall

The City of Midland held a ribbon cutting and open house to celebrate the end of renovations at Midland City Hall Thursday.

The public was invited to see the results of the 2-year, $2.5 million project that brought a series of changes to the building at 333 West Ellsorth Street. The project was broken up into phases including updates to the layout and security on the first floor, improvements to the council chambers, a new Assessing Office, updates to HVAC and lighting systems, and more.

The building first opened in 1989, and has not seen updates since. Officials say the improvements aim to make the building more secure for employees and easier for the public to navigate.
