Midland City Clerk Warns of Potential Scams
September 14, 2024 10:45AM EDT
The City of Midland Clerk’s Office is warning residents about possible scams involving voter registration status.
The Clerk’s office says it’s received complaints of text messages from unknown sources regarding their registration. Voters are cautioned not to click on links or provide personal information if they don’t know where the message came from. Officials say third-party organizations may send election-related forms by mail, email or text messages to voters. When in doubt, the City says to go to michigan.gov/vote to check or update their voter registration status.
Midland residents are also reminded that early voting begins October 26th, and absentee ballots applications are available now for the November 5th General Election.
