Man Struck by SUV In Saginaw Identified

Police have confirmed the identity of a 33-year-old Saginaw man who was killed after being struck by an SUV on Thursday, Aug. 29.

The incident occurred around 9:10 a.m. near North Fifth Street and Wadsworth Road, where police responded to reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found Carl Harris had been struck by a white SUV, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver stopped and has been cooperating with the investigation, with no arrests made at this time. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots before the crash, though it’s unclear if the gunfire is connected to Harris’ death. Police recovered several shell casings but confirmed no one was hit by the bullets.
