Man Okay After Falling Through Ice in Huron County, Incident Under Investigation

Police in Huron County Continue to investigate after a man fell through the ice in Sebewaing Township last Friday.

Police say the man and two others, all from the Sebewaing area, were ice fishing at the end of Kilmanagh Road on a canal off the Saginaw Bay when they were approached by two people on an airboat. Police say the three fisherman and the airboat driver got into a heated exchange. The airbopat driver allegedly cirlced the men on the ice, breaking it up. Two of the fishermen were able to move safely away but a third fell through the ice. Police say the boat left the man in the water. He was able to be pulled to safety by his companions.

Police are attempting to contact the boat driver. The victim did not require medical attention.
