Man Found Submerged In Pickup Identified

A man found dead in a submerged pickup truck in Saginaw County Wednesday, July 31 has been identified.

Police say 73-year-old Richard Knickerbocker of Vestaburg in Montcalm County suffered a heart attack while driving in the 4500 block of S. Miller Rd. Knickerbocker lost control of the vehicle, which plunged into a canal off Swan Creek. A kayaker notified police of vehicle debris in the water around 9:15 a.m.

Police notified the next of kin and have closed the investigation.
