Man Dies at Midland Landfill

Midland Police are investigating a fatal accident at the city’s landfill at 4311 E. Ashman. Officers responded to the landfill for reports of an injured man just before 9:00 a.m. Thursday, June 27. They found a 59-year-old man from Hesperia, MI, who was already deceased. His name was being withheld until family members could be notified.
Police say the victim was a private contractor doing work in the Midland area, and not a City of Midland employee. Investigators do not suspect foul play.
