A man was arrested in Genesee County Sunday after an investigation into a break in at the Whaley’s Children Center in Flint last Friday.
Around 1:25 A.M., surveillance cameras captured images of a man breaking the front widow of the center’s mailroom, where the thief entered the building. Police say he made his way to the third floor donation room, where he broke another window to get inside. The suspect then filled a large trash bag with about $1,700 of donated items, including T-shirts, socks, towels and personal hygiene items.
The suspect is currently awaiting arraignment.
