Machines Damaged at Michigan Sugar Piling Station

Police in Huron County are looking for vandals believed responsible for damaging piling machines at a Michigan Sugar location.

Police say between the hours of 1:00 and 5:00 a.m. Thursday, November 4, three piling machines were damaged or disabled at the Meade Township piling ground on Limerick Rd. It’s unknown how many suspects were involved. Repairs are expected to cost thousands of dollars, though the machines are up and running, according to Michigan Sugar officials.
