Linwood Waterfront Park Crowdfunding Campaign Launched to Enhance Saginaw Bay Access
A crowdfunding campaign has been launched to transform a deteriorating lot into the Linwood Waterfront Park on Saginaw Bay, with a goal of $25,000 by October 26. This project is a collaboration between the Village of Linwood, Fraser and Kawkawlin Townships, and Bay County, supported by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Public Spaces Community Places initiative. If the goal is met, it will unlock a matching grant from MEDC.
The park will offer universally accessible amenities, including picnic areas, a fishing platform, and a boat launch. Additionally, it will enhance the scenic access point on Saginaw Bay, with a new seawall and greenspace. Community leaders emphasize the importance of public access to the bay, which is crucial for residents and visitors. For project details and to donate, visit patronicity.com/linwood.
