Investigators Identify Human Remains Discovered along Saginaw River in Bay City

Police in Bay City have identified human remains that were discovered along the Saginaw River on Wednesday.

According to the Bay City Department of Public Safety, the victim is 41-year-old Justie Stilwell of Bay City. Stilwell had been reported missing by his family that same day, and they had discovered his vehicle at a nearby park. Incomplete remains of his body were found at Golson Boat Launch at 1600 North Johnson Street Wednesday afternoon, and the search for additional evidence in the area reportedly yielded nothing.

The remains were identified using fingerprints. Authorities say the incident is being investigated as a homicide, but believe it to be an isolated incident. According to police, there is no suspect information available, but it is believed the victim and the suspect knew one another.
