Incoming Saginaw Bishop Claims His Home Church

Incoming Saginaw Catholic Diocese Bishop Robert Gruss spoke to parisioner’s during evening prayer Thursday, July 25 in Saginaw’s Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption.
Gruss knocked three times on the Cathedral’s front door to symbolically claim his home church. He says he learned a lot in eight years as Bishop in Rapid City, South Dakota but is ready to move forward in his new job.
Gruss will be officially installed as Bishop during a 2:00 p.m. ceremony Friday, July 26 in Holy Spirit Church on N. River Rd. in Thomas Township.
