I-75 Shooting Victim Identified, Police Continue Searching for Suspects

Police have identified an elderly man killed while driving down I-75 last Friday.
80-year-old John Strachan of Bay City was heading north in a Chevy City Express van near Holland Road in Saginaw County around 4:45 A.M. when police say he was shot. He stopped along the freeway and died from his injuries. Police say it appears it was a targeted attack, though no suspects are in custody.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the state police Tri-City post or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
