Huron County Sheriff’s Office Looking for Stolen Truck, Suspects
Police in Huron County are searching for a stolen pickup truck belonging to a Bad Axe man.
Police say the investigation began when police discovered a 2000 Saturn in a ditch at the intersection of Kinde and Tomlinson roads in Dwight Township around 7:30 A.M. on Friday. Two sets of footprints led to a residence about a mile away, where the owner of the pickup truck was leaving to search for it. Police determined the truck was taken only minutes before they arrived at the man’s house.
The Saturn, it turns out, was also stolen from Birchfield. Witnesses describe the suspects as a male with glasses and a blue jean jacket, and a woman wearing a green winter coat with a fur collar. The pickup truck was last seen heading west on M-53 out of Bad Axe. It is a champaign colored 2006 Chevy Silverado, 4×4, single cab, short box, with box cap. It has rust and a Caterpillar brand license plate in the front. It’s rear license number is 8LRK00.
Anyone with information on the truck’s whereabouts is asked to call the Huron County Sheriff’s Department.
