Housing Assistance Available to Bay County Residents

Bay County has set aside $1 million to help residents with house payments.

The county announced that residents can apply for an up to $3,000 grant to assist in catching up on missed property tax, mortgage, rent, or utility payments. Bay County Treasurer Shawna Walraven says that funds will be distributed based on income bracket to better help those who need it.

The money has been set aside from the county’s ARPA funding. For more information or to apply, residents can visit the Bay County website or call 989-895-4297.
